Sheriff’s Reserve
The Brown County Sheriff’s Reserve is a
uniformed Sheriff’s Office organization open to any person that is 21years of
age and holds, at minimum, a valid POST part-time peace officers license. Each
Reserve member must serve a minimum of 8 hours each month on assigned duty. The
areas of service include riding along with regular patrol deputies, crowd
control at various functions in the county, and other enforcement duties.
Reserve members are called upon to secure crime scenes, render assistance during
natural disasters, and to join search parties. In addition, Reserve members
perform snowmobile patrol in the winter as well as boat patrol duties in the
summer. Reserve members serve with a deep sense of pride attained from
participating in the law enforcement process and an appreciation from other
members of the Sheriff’s Office.
