Dispatch


The Dispatch Unit of every law enforcement agency is the
lifeline of the organization. Through telephone and police radio communications
the Brown County Sheriff’s Office Dispatcher’s strive to reduce crime
through rapid and accurate communications with Deputies, City Police Officer’s
and the citizens of Brown County.
Dispatchers utilize various integral resources for gaining pertinent
information. Such resources include police radio, Telecommunications Teletype
(TTY), administrative telephones, 9-1-1 emergency telephones, Telecommunication
Devices for the Deaf/Hearing Impaired (TDD), National Crime Information Center (NCIC),
Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS), CrimNet, and DTN Weather radar.
The Brown County Dispatch Center is staffed with 5 full-time and 2 part-time
dispatchers. Three shifts cover a 24-hour period, which provides
around-the-clock service for the citizens for Brown County. |
