The Brown County Probation Department supports evidence based practices and utilizes the risk, need and responsivity principle to refer clients to appropriate supervision programs and services. By adhering to the risk/needs principle, we only recommend and refer clients to programs and services designed specifically to address their individual criminogenic needs.

Important General Rules for all Programs:
Attendance :
-If you arrive late, you will not be admitted.
-Unexcused absences may result in termination from the program.
-Anyone who comes to the class under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol will be asked to leave immediately and may face a probation violation and/or other legal consequences.
Payments & Registration:
-All payments are final.
-Rescheduling or restarting a program for any reason may result in additional fees.
-Payments can be made in person at the Brown County Probation Department or by calling 507-233-6620 between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
-Acceptable forms of payment include: Cash, Visa/Master Card or Check/Money Order made payable to the Brown County Probation. Payments and fees can now be made online.
