Brown County of Minnesota

Brown County Probation Department has the responsibility to provide adult misdemeanor, gross misdemeanor and juvenile probation services to the district court. All adult felony clients (with the exception of most felony DWI’s) are supervised by the Department of Corrections. Brown County Probation staff supervise, counsel and assist probation clients so they may make a satisfactory adjustment in our communities. This is done through client contact and visits as well as contact with schools, employers, family members, victims, counselors, and law enforcement. All clients on probation sign an agreement outlining acceptable behavior and court obligations. The court is informed when clients are not complying with supervision requirements.
